BDI’s Avion A/V Collection Expands with New Avion Series II
Next Generation of Award-Winning Home Theater Cabinets Introduced

CHANTILLY, VA – June 15, 2009 Contemporary furniture innovator BDI unveils the next generation in home theater cabinets with the new Avion Series II. Named one of Robb Report: Home Entertainment magazine’s “10 best designs,” the Avion home theater cabinet now expands with the introduction of four beautifully designed and engineered new models. The new Avion Series II is the best designed and most thoroughly engineered cabinet designed to house and protect electronic equipment so it is easily integrated into the home theater environment. Available in BDI’s finishes of Espresso Stained Oak or Natural Stained Cherry, the new Avion Series II cabinets have a clean, linear aesthetic and feature precision European hardware including quick release, soft-close hinges. Set on a satin stainless steel base, the collection’s hidden wheels allow the cabinets to be moved away from the wall, and the removable back panels provide easy access to the back of the components. Grey tinted windows allow for infrared remote control signal use, while hiding components and still showing illuminated information. Flow-through ventilation throughout the cabinet promotes air flow to keep valuable electronics cool. Like the original Avion, the Avion Series II incorporates integrated cable management, which includes routing pathways and new Velcro enclosures to keep cables tidy and under control. The four new models being introduced this summer include:

-Avion Series II 8925 – a two-compartment wide cabinet with additional storage for media or gaming consoles. Designed to accommodate up to a 55” flat panel TV, the 8925’s unique shape makes exceptional use of tight spaces including corners. Measures 22.5” H x 50” W x 22” D. MSRP $1,395

-Avion Series II 8927 – a three-compartment wide cabinet designed for use with up to a 60” flat panel TV. It incorporates a center drawer to conceal a center channel speaker, and can be used for CD, DVD and/or gaming storage. Measures 22.5” H x 65” W x 22” D. MSRP $1,695

-Avion Series II 8928 – a taller piece features a two-compartment wide lower cabinet with center gaming console area and a multifunction top compartment. Designed to accommodate up to a 50” flat panel or rear projection TV. Measures 28.75” H x 47.5” W x 22” D. MSRP $1,595

-Avion Series II 8929 – the largest of the collection, this four-compartment wide cabinet is designed to accommodate up to a 70” flat panel or rear projection TV. Like the Avion Series II 8927, this model also includes the center drawer. Measures 22.5” H x 77” W x 22” D. MSRP $1,995
